STERLING SILVER
Xcience Designs jewels are made with top quality silver. Given that silver in its natural state is very soft, artisans cannot work with it alone. It is necessary to mix it with other metals in order to make it more resistant. We work with sterling Silver 925, which is made up of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. It has been shown that copper is the best to mix with silver, as it improves durability and resistance without affecting the beautiful and delicate colour.
SEAL OF QUALITY
As stipulated by the regulations of the Laws on objects made from precious metals, all the jewellery made by Xcience Designs include the perforations that guarantee its quality.
CARE AND CLEANING
- Always use cosmetic products such as lotions, hairsprays or perfume before putting on a jewel.
- To minimize scratches or other damage, preferably store jewellery in a cloth bag or in a separate compartment of your jewellery box.
- Never expose jewellery to household cleaning products such as bleach or ammonia, as well as avoiding chlorine from swimming pools or whirlpool appliances.
- Frequent cleaning of jewellery will avoid its tarnish. This is removed more easily when it is barely apparent and helps keeps its shine. However, the best way to avoid tarnishing is simply using the jewellery. Use cleaners formulated specifically to clean silver.
